Man loses arm in Broadway accident

Two more passengers injured in horrific accident.

A MAN lost his left arm after it was amputated in a collision on Swapo Road (Broadway) this evening.

According to Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen paramedics arrived on scene to find the man’s vehicle had collided with the Armco barrier.

“The driver had suffered a traumatic amputation to his left arm and advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilize him before he was placed on to a mechanical ventilator and transported by ambulance to a near by hospital for immediate further care.

“Two passengers also sustained injuries and were attended to on scene before being taken to various nearby hospitals. It is unclear what caused the man to lose control of the vehicle resulting in the horrific incident,” he said.
