A GANG of five armed men, held up and robbed staff at a business premises in Riverhorse Valley last night. Blue Security operations manager Brian Jackson said the robbers, arrived in a white Honda Ballade, all armed with firearms. What’s more said Jackson, the car had no number plates. He said the incident occurred at 7pm.
“They drove onto the premises and held up staff members who were working overtime, robbing them of their cellphones, cash and two computers. The men loaded the goods into the vehicle and fled the scene,” he said.
Jackson said it was was imperative that business owners to ensured that their premises were secured at night adding that they should regularly speak to staff about being security conscious at work.
“Criminals are on the lookout for easy targets and often stake out properties before striking so its important to advise staff to report any suspicious individuals or vehicles they might notice lurking near the premises at any time and then report this to your security company,” he said.
“Staff who are opening up in the mornings or working late at night must be extra vigilant and ensure that security gates are locked and that any external security beams are switched on after dark.”
