Woman dies after 6th-floor fall

The 23-year-old was trying to access her flat when the tragedy occurred.

A WOMAN has died after falling from the sixth floor of an apartment block in uMhlanga on Tuesday afternoon. The tragedy occurred at Manhattan Mews on Meridian Drive near Gateway.

According to a police source, the 23-year-old was trying to enter her flat through an outside balcony window but slipped off the ledge before plummeting to the pavement below.

“The woman did not have her keys and tried to climb into her apartment via an outside balcony when she slipped and fell. She was declared dead on scene,” the source said.
