Truck overturns on N2

The accident occurred near the Queen Nandi Drive off-ramp.

TWO people were injured during an accident on the N2 south-bound near the Queen Nandi Drive off-ramp this morning. According to Crisis Medical’s Neil Powell, police were investigating the cause of the accident.

“Paramedics found a bakkie had collided with a truck at high speed. The driver lost control of the vehicle during the impact and it overturned. The occupants of both vehicles sustained injuries and were transported to hospital for further care. It is unclear what caused the collision,” he said.

Last week, a helicopter airlifted a patient who was injured in a multiple car pile-up on the N2.
