Missing Glen Anil man found

Missing Alzheimer's sufferer found near Newlands East.

A FAMILY has confirmed that a Glen Anil man, Colin Palmer, has been found ‘safe and sound’.

His son, Wayne Palmer, confirmed this morning that the 65-year-old man was spotted early this morning walking along Inanda Road near Newlands East.

“A man named Vic saw him walking along the old Inanda Road, carried on driving and then saw the car, and realised that it was my dad. He turned around picked up my dad, took the keys and locked the car and then dropped him off with us,” he said.

Wayne said his father was unharmed, but a little cold and confused.

“We are just relieved that he is safe. We thank all the role-players and everyone who was involved in the search,” he said.

Colin, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, disappeared from his Pigeonwood Close home at around 2pm yesterday.
