N2 crash leaves four injured

The truck involved in the collision overturned.

FOUR people were injured, one seriously, after a collision between a truck and two vehicles on the N2 near the KwaMashu off-ramp on Saturday afternoon. According to Netcare 911 spokesman, Chris Botha, the cause of the crash is still being investigated.

“Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the truck had overturned after impact; the road was obstructed with debris and the twisted frames of the vehicles consistent with that of a high impact collision. After the injured were examined it was found that one person sustained serious injuries while three others escaped with minor injuries.

“Medics stabilised the injured at the scene before transporting them to a local hospital for the care that required. Exact details as to the cause of the crash is still speculative and will form part of the police investigation,” he said.
