Suspects smash wall, rob La Lucia home

The suspects fled with laptops after breaking into the property this morning.

A LA Lucia home was broken into at about 3am today by an unknown number of suspects. The suspects smashed part of the precast wall and cut through barbed wire at the back of the property, confirmed Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen.

“The incident occurred on Shelbourne Avenue. The homeowner suspects that the incident occurred at about 3am today, because his neighbour’s dogs were barking continuously at that time. The suspects crawled under an electric fence, cut the barbed wire and broke a slab off the precast fence.

“They gained access to the rear of the property and forced the laundry door open to gain entry into the house. Three laptops were stolen,” he said.
