Incredible footage of iguana chased by snakes

The footage has gone viral on social media and is sure to send chills down your spine.

NEW documentary footage from the BBC Wildlife series Planet Earth II showing a baby iguana being chased by a gang of snakes has the internet in a spin. The racer snakes hone in on the young iguana who is relentlessly pursued by the serpents on a beach.

As the iguana makes a break for it, more and more snakes slither forward from the rocks, seemingly coming out of nowhere. The footage has gone viral on social media and is sure to send chills down your spine. The footage was filmed on Fernandina Island, the third largest, and youngest, island of the Galápagos Islands.

Twitter users also had a field day tweeting about their support and amazement at the footage.
