Tanker overturns, causes Spaghetti Junction traffic nightmare
Police have urged motorists to find alternative routes.

A TANKER carrying sodium hydroxide has overturned at Spaghetti Junction. This has resulted in the closure of the N3/N2 ramps onto the N2 (northbound) from Spaghetti Junction. It’s unclear at this stage what caused the accident. Rescue personnel are still on scene and the spillage is still being contained.
Traffic has been severely affected going north and police have urged motorists to find alternative routes.
Garrith Jamieson of Rescue Care said the driver of the tanker was injured in the accident.
“He was moderately injured and was transported through to hospital.”
