Durban North officers honoured at medal parade

Eleven Durban North police officers were honoured at the parade.

CRUSADERS Sports Club played host to the SAPS eThekwini Outer North Cluster Medal Parade earlier today. The event was to honour police officers from various different stations, including the Durban North SAPS police station.

The medals were awarded to officers who have served for 10, 20, and 30 years.  Major General L Ngobeni, Ethekwini Outer North Cluster commander as well as other dignitaries, addressed the officers and family members in attendance.

He said: “We are gathered here to celebrate dedication, selflessness, hard work by our men and women in blue for their service in the South African Police. This without a doubt is a big sacrifice that you have given to your country and province.”
