Man hijacked in driveway in Greenwood Park

The suspects also made off with R1 200 in cash.

A GREENWOOD Park resident was hijacked by two armed men on Monday evening. The incident occurred at about 6pm on Allenby Road, confirmed Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen.

“As he pulled into his driveway, he was confronted by two armed men who followed him with a white Ford Ranger. The suspects held him up before taking his gold Toyota Yaris with ND number plates.

“The suspects fled in the direction of Riverhorse Valley. Unfortunately, the vehicle was not fitted with a tracking device. The victim also had R1 200 in cash inside the vehicle. Thankfully the man wasn’t injured in the incident,” van Reenen said.
