Man charged for attempted murder in uMhlanga

It is believed the altercation was work related.

A SECURITY guard has been charged with attempted murder after shooting a fellow guard in an altercation in uMhlanga. According to Captain Raymond Deokaran, the altercation began because the victim was late to start his shift.

“The guard was waiting to be relieved by the victim who had arrived at work late. An altercation began leading to the victim punching the suspect in the jaw. The suspect then pulled out his weapon firing a single shot into the victim’s foot. The suspect has been arrested and charged with attempted murder,” he said.

The incident occurred at about 6pm on Friday night.
