Business guru cooks up a storm

Margaret Hirsch in her element showing off her cooking skills and tantalizing guests' taste buds.

CHIEF operations executive of the Hirsch Group, Margaret Hirsch had guests in rapt attention when she set about, ‘cooking up a storm’. The business guru co-founded the appliance store Hirsch alongside her husband, Allan Hirsch and together they have built an appliance, electronics and furnishing retail empire, known country-wide as Hirsch.

The businesswoman and mother of two children and five grandchildren was in her element showing off her skills and tantalizing their taste buds when she made dishes that included a basil pesto tomato and onion bruschetta at the Hirsch Homestore based in uMhlanga.

This was followed by the main course of baked camembert with avocado mash, slow roasted lamb, lentil bobootie and vegetarian cauliflower steaks. She also whisked up a lemon meringue roulade and last but not least, velvet chocolate cake.
