6 injured in N2/M41 accident

The exact cause of the accident and preceding events will form part of a police investigation.

SIX people were injured in a collision between a heavy duty truck and a mini-bus taxi at the N2/M41 uMhlanga interchange. The accident occurred just after 10am this morning (16 November) causing a massive traffic backlog in both directions.

Netcare 911 paramedics on scene of the accident said it was unclear what caused the collision. The exact cause of the accident and preceding events will form part of a police investigation.

It follows an accident in the vicinity of the interchange on Wednesday morning involving a bus and a truck.

A total of 10 people were injured in the accident which included eight commuters who were left with minor to moderate injuries. The driver of the bus was in a serious condition.

In a separate incident on Wednesday afternoon, a man was injured after crashing into a tree in uMhlanga.
