Pizza delivery bike hijacker arrested

The delivery driver was held up at knife point in the Greenwood Park area.

A MAN was arrested by Marshall Security on Wednesday night after he hijacked a pizza delivery bike in Greenwood Park.

Reports allege the suspect had ordered a pizza from a local fast food restaurant. When the delivery bike arrived at the scheduled delivery address, the driver was held up at knife point and hijacked of his scooter.

According to Marshall Security spokesman, Kyle van Reenen, the suspect was arrested in Kenville.

“Our offices assisted a vehicle tracking company after the motorcycle had been reported stolen. The delivery scooter was equipped with a satellite tracking device. Our Special Operations Team were activated to assist and the scooter was found off a dirt road near an informal settlement in the Kenville area. A brief search of a nearby shack revealed the suspect who was found in possession of the keys to the bike,” he said.
