The five-a-side tournament, the brainchild of PSG’s talisman and Brazilian hero Neymar Jr, will see more than 60 countries around the world competing for a place in the World Finals at Instituto Projeto Neymar Jr in Praia Grande, Brazil in July.
Durban will host its regional final this Saturday (26 May) at Sport on Court Crusaders in Durban North from 6pm. The winning team will head to Johannesburg representing KZN at the national final on 17 June in Johannesburg. The winning five-member squad from that final will head to Brazil to represent South Africa and test their mettle against the world’s best.
Build your team of 5-7 players between the ages of 16-25 and start your journey to represent South Africa in Praia Grande, Brazil. But, know this, it’s a tournament with a twist. You need to outplay your opponents within 10 minutes to win the game. And – here’s the real kick – every time one team scores, the other team loses a player. This makes it a very technical as well as tactical game. Come and join us for the regional final this Saturday at 6pm.
