Motorist shot in Durban North armed robbery

The five suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money. 

A MOTORIST sustained minor injuries in an armed robbery on Waterkant Road in Durban North earlier today.
It is believed five armed suspects followed a family into the area before ambushing them on the residential road, said Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen.
“A shot was fired by the suspects striking the side of the vehicle before grazing the driver’s right leg,” he added.
The suspects reportedly fled with an undisclosed amount of money as well as a cell phone.
“The victim was asessed on scene and declined further hospital treatment,” said Van Reenen.
