Four tips: How to save petrol

WITH the petrol price reaching a record high of R15.54 for 93 octane,  R15.79 for 95 octane and diesel sitting at  R14.19 a litre, everybody wants to know how they can save petrol.

In a Facebook post, the South African government gave motorists what they called, ‘tips’ on how to save petrol.

Here’s what they suggested:

1.Make fewer trips.

2.Don’t drive during rush hour.

3.Don’t carry unnecessary weight.

4.Accelerate smoothly, don’t push the accelerator down too far.
