Kenville home ravaged in fire

Fortunately no one was injured in the fire.

A KENVILLE family has been left homeless after their home was gutted by a fire.  The home on Jain Road caught a blaze on Thursday morning. According to Crisis Medical emergency services no one was injured in the fire.

“Earlier this morning, emergency services responded to a house fire in the Kenville area. Luckily despite the family home being left completely gutted, there were no injuries sustained,” said Crisis Medical’s Kyle Van Reenen.

He commended the Ethekwini Fire and Rescue Services for their work in putting out the fire.

“Thank you to eThekwini Fire and Rescue Services for their swift response and action in fighting the blaze,” he said.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage and will be investigated by the relevant authorities.
