Duo arrested after Greenwood Park car break-in

The suspects were arrested after attempting to flee on foot.

TWO suspects were arrested on Chris Hani Road (North Coast Road) in the early hours of Wednesday morning after breaking into a vehicle in the area.

According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the duo had earlier broken into a vehicle on Heather Grove in the Greenwood Park area.

“The break-in occurred at about 2.20am. The homeowner, who was asleep at the time, heard glass breaking and when he looked outside he saw two suspects breaking into his vehicle. The men then fled taking a black bag with an undisclosed amount of cash and work items,” he said.

“A description of the suspects was circulated to a patrol unit and the suspects were spotted fleeing on foot on North Coast Road. They were arrested, positively identified by the victim, and handed over to Greenwood Park police,” he said.
