Kennel Challenge needs your participation
Fundraising events are cancelled and the number of mouths we feed went from over 100 to now over 600 animals. The vet bills are soaring and we are dependent on donations to stay afloat.
ANIMAL welfare organisation, Phoenix Animal Care and Treatment (Pact), will host its Kennel Challenge to raise funds for its vet and treatment bills.
Speaking to Northglen News, Neeri Naidoo of Pact said since Covid-19 hit, the organisation had ended up with double the amount of cases and was left with half the amount of donations.

“Fundraising events are cancelled and the number of mouths we feed went from over 100 to now over 600 animals. The vet bills are soaring and we are dependent on donations to stay afloat. The Kennel Challenge will he held virtually and I encourage all to be a part of it,” said Naidoo.
Not only will the funds assist with bills but will raise awareness on the plight of captive animals and specifically the plight of chained animals.
“Last year a lot of people were given some insight into what chained dogs go through their whole life. We have a long waiting list of animals to be sterilised and we are unable to help more animals because we lack funds to help us build our shelter,” said Naidoo.
