“We were notified of a housebreaking that occurred at approximately 2:40 at a property in Glenhills. Multiple armed response officers responded to the scene and it was established that numerous items had been stolen during the housebreaking. Officers patrolled the known hotspots in search of the wanted suspects,” he said.
An hour later the suspects were spotted walking on Moreland Drive in Redhill.
“When the suspects noticed our officers approaching, they abandoned some of the items and fled. After a short foot chase, the suspects evaded arrest by running into an informal settlement on Old North Coast Road,” Powell said.
