One killed in Glen Hills car crash

A light delivery vehicle careened off the roadway, crashing through a residential boundary fence before coming to a stop.

A MAN in his thirties has died after a car accident on Rinaldo Road in the Glen Hills area.

Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen says Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene of a motor vehicle collision on Rinaldo Road in the early hours of Sunday morning.

“Reports from the scene are that a light delivery vehicle careened off the roadway, crashing through a residential boundary fence before coming to a stop.

“A male of approximately thirty years of age was found to have sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead on arrival of paramedics while three other occupants suffered moderate injuries and were treated and stabilised on scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care,” he said.

He said the cause of the collision is unknown and will form the subject of a South African Police Services investigation.
