Stolen vehicle recovered after Durban North break-in

The suspects made off with several household items during the burglary.

THE Greenwood Park SAPS Trio Crimes Unit and members of Marshall Security’s Special Operations Team helped recover a vehicle stolen in a house break-in in Durban North.

The break-in occurred just after midday on Thursday, February 1.

According to Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell, the break-in occurred on Kenneth Kaunda Road.

“The homeowners were not at home during the house break-in. Initial reports from the scene revealed that an unknown number of suspects had derailed the gate to the property and forced open a window to gain access into the house.

“During the house-breaking. multiple TVs, alcohol, an undisclosed amount of jewellery and the homeowner’s VW Touareg were stolen. Working on information received, Marshall Security, alongside Greenwood Park SAPS Trio Crimes Unit, managed to recover the stolen vehicle in the Durban area,” he said.

Powell said the other stolen items were not located.
