EDITOR – I refer to the letter from Alan, ‘Just take a look around for open land’, in last week’s Northglen News.
Your argument appears appealing at first glance.
The chiefs have more land than the minority. However, the notable difference is that the chiefs did not dispossess the original inhabitants of their land.
The issue is the redress of past injustices. Is the majority required to sit back stoically and ignore past imbalances?
As for your Kibbutz idea, that is definitely a brilliant idea to bear in mind should the land be redistributed to us!
I fully agree with your comments about the ANC letting down those who dwell in the rural areas.
The solution is for the majority to rally behind the Economic Freedom Fighters.
As for the toilet issue, there would have been no need for the people to break down the toilets if they were properly constructed.
I doubt whether the minority would be pleased to leave their expensive homes and live like the majority unless the majority must put up with inferior services.
