A Sunday Morning Concert in Melville
The Johannesburg Opera hosted a concert at a local restaurant, IT Corner.
The Johannesburg Opera together with Melville-based restaurant, IT Corner, hosted a Sunday Morning Concert.
Lovers of this genre of music were reminded just why it is they fell in love with the opera as they listened to the talents of the duo Khayakazi Madlala (soprano) and Phenye Modiane (tenor) who were accompanied by Paul Ferreira as he played the piano.
Their songs that morning included Music of the Night and Think of me from The Phantom of the Opera, Una furtiva lagrima and Esulti pur la barbara from l’Elisir d’Amore, On my own from Les Miserable as well as the Impossible dream from Man of la Mancha, among other much-loved opera songs.
Guests were able to enjoy their favourite hot beverage and a meal while they listened to the music.
