Unclaimed truck not unusual – Metro police

A truck has been parked outside a Montgomery Park resident’s yard for more than two weeks, without being claimed by anyone.

The abandoned truck has tree branches and tyres on its load-bed, with no indication of who it might belong to.

Metro police spokesperson Edna Mamonyane said cases like this were anything but rare.

“There are a lot of these cases but often we advise people to report this to our officers who will track down the owner and ask them to remove the vehicle,” Mamonyane stated.

“If the owner doesn’t remove it within the given period, we will impound the vehicle,” she added.
