Serving others is Qhubani’s passion
FAIRLAND - Response officer's smile is contagious and he is willing to help out his fellow workers.

Almost from the time he was born on 8 July 1980, Qhubani Ngcangolo knew he had a knack for the security industry.
“I have always wanted to protect people and look out for their wellbeing and I finally realised that I want to do this for the rest of my life when I started with my military career in Zimbabwe.”
Ngcangolo was born in Linden and raised by his mother and father – his mom is from Johannesburg and his father is from Zimbabwe – and this is also one of the reasons why he went for his military training across the border.
“I went to Crossroads School in Victory Park and graduated from High School in 1998. After school I started with my military training for the next couple of years.”
He said that one of the highlights of his career was when he was deployed to fight in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) in the Second Congo War. “It was our job to keep the rebels out of the DRC and to protect our people and this helped to encourage me to become a response officer.”
After the war, Ngcangolo started working at ADT in 2008 and ran into someone from Beagle Watch and he decided to move over to the company in 2013.
“I have worked my way up and I’m currently a supervisor at the company and it’s my passion to make crime levels lower and to connect and work with residents in my area.”
But Ngcangolo is not all work and no play– he makes time for the two children in his life. “I’m not married, but I’m planning to marry my wife some time this year as we have a small baby together.”
He added that his family is also important as he has two older sisters that he’s very close to.
Beagle Watch spokesperson Anne Wood added, “Ngcangolo is one of our hardest workers and he is always smiling and helping out wherever he can. His passion is contagious and he helps out his fellow workers by motivating them to strive and work harder.”
