Radio fans bedazzled by treat from ‘the best man ever’
CRESTA - YFM’s DJ Sabby treats three lucky winners to a scrumptious lunch.
YFM’s DJ Sabby hosts the Midday Show every weekday from 12pm to 3pm treated three of his fans to lunch at Cresta as part of the Wimpy Steak Knives Promo.
An opportunity to dine with this funny 24-year-old DJ was advertised on social media and during his shows on YFM. Fans were asked to write to him explaining why they wanted to be selected for this once in a life time opportunity.
“I have always loved DJ Sabby’s voice on radio. I used to listen to him back in the day while he was still on the night show and I would call in just to have a chat. It was so nice,” said competition winner Thenjiwe Tshabangu.
“Sabby is chilled and crazy; if you listen to his show you can sit alone in your room and crack with laughter because everyday is a funny day with Sabby,” said yet another winner Karabo Mablah.
“He makes me laugh when he tries to speak Sotho, and he is one of the best deejays on the radio, I love his voice and how he keeps us captivated,” said David Mokolobate who ensured he gets an opportunity to meet Sabby by designing a fun drawing for him.
Sabby sais he is astonished by the love his fans show him.
“It is always great to meet up with the people that listen and follow your work and hear how they perceive you. Meeting people you have never met before but love and listen to you daily is insanely amazing. Thanks to all who support and follow the Sabby name and entertainment. Thank you Wimpy for allowing me to treat some of my fans at your restaurant,” he said.
Wimpy Cresta was delighted to be part of Sabby’s competition and the winners could not hold back their excitement when they received free steak knives at the end of the meal.
