Abbotts college wears slippers

NORTHCLIFF – Students do their part for Reach for a Dream Foundation.

Abbotts College Northcliff recently raised R3 000 for children fighting life-threatening illnesses. The college did this by joining the Slipper Day campaign. Slipper Day is the Reach for a Dreams Foundation’s awareness and fundraising campaign that encourages children to purchase a R10 sticker and wear their slippers to school for one day.

Reach For A Dream is one of South Africa’s most respected and widely-recognised charities. For the past 26 years, Reach for a Dream has been fulfilling the dreams of children who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.

Reach for a Dream takes the focus off the illness and creates a fun space where the children can flourish. According to school principal JC Engelbrecht, the opportunity given to the public to contribute through the Reach for a Dream Foundation gives children the courage to keep fighting their illness.
