Northcliff High School celebrates 100 per cent

NORTHCLIFF – Northcliff High School gets 87 per cent bachelor degree passes and 13 per cent diploma passes.

Northcliff High School celebrated its 100 per cent pass rate on 6 December.

Deputy Principal Lorna Clinning said from the 293 pupils who wrote exams, the school obtained 87 per cent bachelor degree passes and 13 per cent diploma passes.

The top achiever from the school was Nina-Rose Tidy with an average of 91 per cent.

Tidy and two other pupils received eight distinctions; two more pupils got seven distinctions; five got six distinctions while 11 pupils got five distinctions.

“All in all, we have 295 distinctions,” said Clinning .

Tidy received distinctions throughout the year in English, Afrikaans, mathematics, life orientation, history, life science, physical science and advanced programme mathematics.

Clinning said the best subjects at the school include visual art with an average of 73 per cent, maths literacy with 75 per cent, accounting with 67 per cent, English and mathematics with 65 per cent each.

“All the pupils who wrote maths and English passed,” she said.
