Officers of the award-winning Brixton Police Station are still hard at work ensuring the safety and security of the community they serve.
They shared their arrest statistics for crimes that took place in the area. Among some of the most common crimes were assault, theft, possession of drugs and shoplifting. There were also arrests made for fraud, armed robbery and attempted theft.
The arrests were:
- 30 for possession of drugs
- 16 for theft
- 13 for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm
- 13 for common assault
- 7 for possession of dangerous weapons and unlawful firearms and ammunition
- 6 for possession of a stolen motor vehicle
- 5 for malicious damage to property
- 5 for shoplifting.
