Montgomery Haven celebrates Spring Day with flowers and pancakes
MONTGOMERY PARK – Residents of Montgomery Haven retirement village celebrate Spring Day with flowers and pancakes.

The theme was flower power and pancakes, as residents of Montgomery Haven enjoyed a day outside on Spring Day, September 1.
The sun shone kindly down on the Montgomery Park retirement village, and family members visited the elderly to engage in the day’s activities.

Pastor Wayne Hoedemaaker and Montgomery Haven manager, Lorna Somers opened with a word of encouragement before everyone walked a lap or two round the haven’s looping driveway.
Some were pushed in wheelchairs by staff and their friends, while others walked beside them, chatting.

There were some who were reluctant to go outside, but by the end everyone was grateful for the exercise and time spent together.

Then there were pancakes galore and everyone left with a sweet taste on their tongues and happy memories in their hearts.
