The Johannesburg Junior Council (JJC) is a youth-led organisation in Johannesburg, focused on empowering young people to engage in civic activities, leadership, and community development. The JJC believes that if you want to go fast, go alone if you want to go far, go together. The immense support system is something I always go back to. Whenever I am sad or anxious I go to the council.
On the opposite side of the spectrum as well, during the good times of my life, when I have achieved an award that I value, I can confidently share the accomplishment with the group of like-minded individuals that make up the council.

The Johannesburg Junior Council aims to empower young people in Johannesburg by providing them with a platform to engage in civic issues, develop leadership skills, and contribute to their communities.
The advocacy committee is currently tasked with planning a march for education. We would like for it to be on June 16, Youth Day. This march will raise awareness of the lack of quality education in South Africa and encourage those who are more fortunate to pursue helping others who do not have the same resources.
There are stark differences in the equality of education around our country, and the world, as a whole. We would like to advocate for those who aren’t as privileged. Moreover, we would also like to use this march as a testament to the youth. This should be a testament for the youth to realise the power we hold.
Your education doesn’t define you, being a part of the youth in South Africa, you hold so much more power than you might be aware of.
