Eager smiles on the first day of school
Though timid at first, new Grade 1s at Crossroads School, De La Salle Holy Cross College Junior School, Northwest Christian School, King David Victory Park, and Orban School all seemed eager for their first day of school.

On January 15, Grade 1s across our city woke up early in the morning to put on their clean pressed uniforms and, with their school bags in hand, headed to ‘big school’ where so many possibilities awaited them.

For the children from Crossroads School, De La Salle Holy Cross College Junior School, Northwest Christian School, King David Victory Park, and Orban School, though shy, and timid at first, there were no tears, just endless smiles and the eagerness to make new friends.

If their first day of school was anything to go by at their respective school, these little ones are each in for a great year. These early learning years are a pivotal time for children as they lay the foundation for their love of learning.
