Jayden expressed a strong commitment to academic excellence, stating their objective of achieving a 100% pass rate for this year’s matriculants, while also focusing on the overall improvement of students across all grades.

“We want to improve academically, not only for this year’s matrics, but also for the rest of the grades,” he emphasised.

Although Jayden initially did not see himself in a leadership role, he acknowledged the encouragement he received from his teachers, who recognised potential in him that he had not yet discovered.

On the other hand, D’yana shared her vision for motivating learners to attain better grades throughout the year. She plans to implement innovative programmes, similar to a reward system, aiming to inspire and engage students.

One of her ideas includes establishing a debating club, which she believes will help foster academic growth and strengthen community bonds within the school.

Both leaders are enthusiastic about their roles and are dedicated to creating a supportive and successful academic environment at Roosevelt High School. Their collaborative efforts aim to not only enhance academic performance but also to cultivate a sense of community among students.
