VOX POP: Scouters give their opinions on the outdoors and Scouting

Mark Booth, Luke Jefferies, and Lee Zimmerman share how Scouting has changed their lives.

Scouts around the world celebrate Lord Robert Baden-Powell’s Founder’s Day, an annual event held on February 22 to honour the birthday of the founder of the Scouting movement.

The day is characterised as one that gives Scouts the extra opportunity to do service projects, outdoor activities, and reflect on Scouting’s core values which are: duty, respect, and helping others. It also sees them reaffirm the Scout promise and remember the impact of Lord Baden-Powell’s vision, which has helped shaped generations of young leaders.

Among these young leaders are Mark Booth, Luke Jefferies, and Lee Zimmerman who each shared how Scouting has impacted their lives and what they love about the outdoors.
