Stop bullying: Promoting safe and respectful schools in Gauteng

Bullying, harassment, and violence have no place in our schools. Learn how to report these acts anonymously to create a safe environment where learners can thrive.

Bullying, sexual harassment, and violence undermine the safety and well-being of students in Gauteng schools. It is essential that every learner feels safe, respected, and empowered to succeed. To support this, the Gauteng Department of Education encourages students, parents, and staff to report any bullying or acts of violence immediately and anonymously, ensuring that schools remain safe and supportive spaces for learning.

If you are experiencing bullying or notice it happening at your school, do not stay silent. You can report incidents anonymously through several channels. Call Childline at 110, a toll-free helpline dedicated to protecting children and providing support. Alternatively, contact SADAG at 0800 567 567 for mental health and violence-related concerns. Schools also have anti-bullying boxes where students can confidentially drop their reports.
