In one sentence, who are you?
I am a committed father, husband and community advocate, a patriot who believes in South Africa and in the potential of Johannesburg.

What are the biggest issues facing your ward currently?
Our ward is diverse, but the issues that affect residents across the community are clear: reliable water supply, electricity outages, deteriorating public spaces, poor service delivery and crime.

What practical solutions would you prioritise should you be named councillor of your ward?
Clean Up. Listen. Deliver. I want to work with residents, community organisations and local businesses to clean up and improve our parks, public spaces and business centres. I will listen to residents and make sure their concerns are properly recorded and followed up. Most importantly, I will work with the community, SAPS, Metro Police, the CPF and the relevant city departments to deliver decisive action and measurable results.

What is one misconception about you or your party that you would clarify?
There is a misconception that our party is not representative and only works for certain segments of the community. The DA is committed to serving all South Africans, regardless of background, and to building a society where every resident has the opportunity to live in a safe, well-run community. Our focus will always be on serving people, not dividing them.

Should your party’s candidate be named mayor, what issue should they address first?
The first priority must be getting Johannesburg’s finances under control and developing a sound, sustainable financial plan. We need to ensure that money raised for specific services is properly directed towards maintaining and improving those services. From there, we must improve service delivery, monitor performance and hold service providers accountable when they fail to meet their contractual obligations.
