Coming from a family of golfers, Ammarah followed in the footsteps of her father and uncles as a child. “The challenge, friendship, and opportunity to be in touch with nature all appealed to me. I became passionate about golf, with the enjoyment and excitement that comes with it, while striving for excellence.”
She also finished as a runner-up in the CMR Club Championship (Ladies Division) and has qualified for tournaments in the USA, Australia, Ireland, Turkey, and Italy.

These achievements have come with hard work. Her training regimen features warm-up exercises, dynamic stretching, and swing practice. “There is a lot of mental training involved, as well as visual stimulation and positive self-talk, to enhance my confidence and focus.”
She added that the game involved skill, mental agility, physical strength, flexibility, and endurance.
But she said that it was more than a sport. “I find pleasure in playing golf for the excitement, friendship, serenity, and the chance to be outdoors.”
Throughout her journey, she has had a support structure from her family and friends, all wanting success for her in golf. Her father guides her through practice and competitions, while her mother motivates her to succeed. “My family helped me to overcome obstacles ranging from mental, financial, and managing my time better.”
Ammarah said that her ambition was to create opportunities and inspire the next generation of sportswomen. “Women play an important role in promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equality in sports.”
Her philosophy is: ‘Focusing on one shot at a time’, which is part of her drive to succeed and prove why women can excel in sports if they put their mind to it.
