A golf day for charity
NORTHCLIFF – The Tshepo Community Development Initiative hosted their annual golf day.
Tshepo Community Development Initiative recently held a successful golf day at Randpark Golf Club.
The non-governmental organisation that was founded about 14 years ago, does its community work in the Windsor/Northcliff areas, and is supported by a group of churches and community members. The aim of the initiative is to implement programmes that empower individuals holistically.
The golf day serves as their annual fundraiser and the foundation’s Nelet Kok, said due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this event could not be hosted last year so they were thankful for the opportunity to host another #HopeForChildrenGolfDay. The event was in collaboration with 1KR Communications, “Who we are thankful for their assistance with making such an event happen,” said Kok.
Funds from the event will be used to run the organisation’s projects which include youth development, social services, job creation programmes and their Sizanani project. “These are the four legs of our organisation that we focus on.”
The organisation looks forward to another event next year while they fundraise throughout this current year.
