Building collapses in Johannesburg CBD

A building collapsed in the Johannesburg CBD in the early hours of February 2.

According to the city’s Joint Operations Committee, it is still unclear what the cause of the collapse was.

The police are on the scene monitoring the situation and urge citizens to avoid using Lower Ross Street between Beacon Street and Angle Street, as they are the main roads affected by the incident.
