Head visual marketer for Joburg Theatre speaks about his personal and business philosophy.

I feel a person should always have ambition to learn new things, grow their skill set and strive for new positions and responsibilities.

I am the head visual marketer, graphics designer and art director at Joburg Theatre.

In my case, I live for the art scene and I am always intrigued by how I can improve my work and learn new ways of doing things.

From videos to graphics to posters, we are always trying to capture the attention and imagination of people.

We can never stay still as this is always changing, and people in my industry are competitive with their products.

If we stay still and do not learn new things we are actually going backwards. Mediocrity only takes you backwards.

People will become bored of our work and our products will become outdated.

So not just in work, I need to be adaptable as a person and open to new roles.

I feel this is what keeps us in the market, while enlargening one’s skill set also gives them something to fall back on if something happens in their job.
