VOX POP: Residents share their opinion on government coalition

The paper spoke to four community members about coalitions and what they deliver.

The Northcliff Melville Times spoke to residents to gather their thoughts on coalition politics.

This is what they had to say:

Gugulethu Ndlovu: I think this is the issue as a country that we don’t talk about enough - it is one politician jumping from one party to another because of greediness and power-hungry reasons.

Obakeng Molokomme: The coalition of government for me is a good thing, when one party fails it joins another one, and then rules together in power.

James Drumgoole: I don’t have much thoughts about the issue of the coalition of government, but if am to form a point of view. I think it just a normal part of politics where politicians try to outshine their rivals by forming a pact.

Thuso Tsieane: I don’t have much to say because I don’t understand the motive behind it, but I do see it taking us back as a country. That will mean the country will be ruled by the same people just from different parties.
