Roosevelt’s U14 and U16 football teams face defeat in finals against King David Linksfield

Roosevelt High School showcased exceptional skill and determination in an exhilarating day of youth soccer, competing fiercely in both the U16 and U14 championships.

In an recently exhilarating U16 final that showcased skill and determination, King David Linksfield emerged victorious against Roosevelt High School, clinching the championship with a 4–2 win.

The match, held on a vibrant field, saw Roosevelt take an early lead with a stunning goal from Rhulani Mondau, who demonstrated exceptional talent and composure to put his team ahead in the first half.

Roosevelt’s strong start created an atmosphere of hope for their supporters, as they held onto their 1-0 lead through a solid defensive performance. However, the tide turned dramatically at the beginning of the second half when King David applied relentless pressure.

Their efforts paid off as they found the equalizer, shifting the momentum in their favor. As Roosevelt struggled to regain their footing, King David capitalized on the opportunity, scoring three more goals to establish a commanding 4–1 lead.

The match was ultimately decided in a nail-biting penalty shootout, where King David edged out Roosevelt with a score of 9–8, securing the title in yet another thrilling encounter.
