Mahmood Cassim of VCSI said the organisation is urging residents to help transform these rooms into safe, warm environments where vulnerable victims — particularly children — can find comfort during traumatic and emotional experiences. He stressed that the project’s mission is to restore dignity, provide a sense of security, and ensure each centre feels child-friendly and welcoming.
VCSI has issued an urgent plea for:
- soft toys/ children’s books or colouring books,
- Small furniture, décor items, comfort items, soft furnishings
- Any contributions that can make these spaces feel gentle and soothing.

Cassim noted that community members can arrange drop-off or collection with CCIN’s administrative representatives. “Your kindness today brings comfort, strength, and hope to someone facing their darkest moment,” he said, thanking residents for standing with the initiative in support of local communities.
