How compassion is being crafted at Linden Police Station

A partnership between Linden CPF and non-profit Community Hours is turning community service into community connection at Linden SAPS.

The Linden Community Police Forum (CPF) is transforming the Linden Police Station into a monthly hub of creativity as residents gather to knit and crochet for those in need.

In partnership with Community Hours, volunteers will now meet once a month inside the station’s hall to make scarves, beanies, baby items, and blankets for vulnerable families and premature infants. Beginners have little to worry about, as there are seasoned crafters eager to help you navigate your way through a slip stitch.

Donations of wool, needles, and blankets are gladly welcomed, with the two organisations hoping that the station will continue to stand as a symbol of what Linden Police Station can be, a place where safety and service stitch residents together.
