Police open cases of attempted murder and murder in connection with Emmarentia road rage shooting
The violent road rage confrontation in Emmarentia, which left one man dead and two others injured, has resulted in the police launching a murder and attempted murder investigation.
A road rage incident in Emmarentia has escalated into a deadly shooting, leaving one man dead and two others injured.

According to Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, it is alleged that a female passenger, believed to be the wife of one of the drivers, went to retrieve a firearm from the vehicle. The second driver also produced a firearm, resulting in the shooting. “The husband was killed in the incident, while the other driver sustained minor injuries. The female passenger was taken to hospital after suffering a gunshot wound.”

Nevhuhulwi confirmed that police have opened cases of murder and attempted murder. “The public, especially drivers, are urged to always abide by traffic rules and exercise patience while using public roads to avoid road rage situations.”
An unsettling video shows the aftermath of the fatal shooting incident involving the victims.
In the footage, a young boy and his sister can be seen being guided into a vehicle for safety after the young boy attempted to administer CPR to their critically injured father while both siblings were in distress.
The mother is also shown in the video, sitting injured from her gunshot wounds.
The video concludes with a crowd gathering along Barry Hertzog Road, where the incident took place.
