Northcliff Rotary invests in the next generation of local leaders

Four learners from Randburg and Florida Park gained practical leadership experience at the Rotary Youth Leadership Award camp, which challenged participants to develop confidence, integrity and teamwork.

Four high school learners from Randburg and Florida Park gained valuable leadership skills at the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) camp held at Camp Life Extreme near Hartbeespoort early in October.

Northcliff Rotary Club sponsored Andrei Pretorius, from Randburg Hoërskool, Bianca Janse van Rensburg, from Northcliff High School, and Sinenhlanhla Zwane and Nkosinathi Nhlapo, from Florida Park High School, to participate in the intensive weekend programme. The camp focused on goal setting, prioritisation, team building, teamwork, time management, conflict resolution, leadership, integrity, and decision-making skills. Experienced Rotarians, subject matter professionals, and screened past RYLA awardees led the lectures, debates, discussions, and practical exercises in compliance with Rotary youth protection policy standards.
