EMMARENTIA – Masagamy batted first and posted a mammoth 191/4 which featured half- centuries from Justin Gamble and Pieter Booysen

Last Man Stands cricket team Masagamy proved why they are ranked the best in the world after they won the Last Man Stands Joburg tournament.

They played in the final against the world’s second top team The Rebels, winning by a convincing 67 runs at Marks Park Sports Club.

In the first semi-final, Masagamy came up against Billy’s Uncle and had little problem chasing a small target of only 76.

In the second semi-final, The Rebels faced 2 Liedjies and The Rebels posted 163/4 which proved to be too much for their opponents.

This meant that the final was contested between the world’s two highest ranked Last Man Stands teams in the world.

Masagamy batted first and posted a mammoth 191/4 which featured half-centuries from Justin Gamble and Pieter Booysen. In reply, The Rebels could only post 124/5, Gamble also shining with the ball as he claimed Man of the Match honours.
